Laguna Woods Democratic Club (LWDC) serves as the meeting and gathering place for registered Democrats and friends of the Democratic Party in the community of Laguna Woods Village, a senior community of 18,000 residents, in Orange County, California.

In preparation for the November election, our Program Committee is

holding four events to allow voters to hear from some of the

candidates and to get information about the 14 Propositions and

Ballot Measures that will be on the ballot. Two of the forums will be at our regular third Tuesday club meetings in August and September, and two will be daytime events held at the Towers. We are waiving guest fees. Events are open to all LWV residents and their guests. We hope you can attend one or more. Watch our weekly club emails for

8/5 -- The Visibility Brigade is hosting a banner drop Wednesday, August 5, 2026 in the morning! 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. on the Yale Pedestrian Bridge over the 405 Freeway. 8/12 -- CH2, Grevillea Room from !:30 – Come write postcards to voters in those three CUSD Trustee Areas, for candidates who support public education. Three MAGA candidates have filed to run in each of Capistrano Unified School District trustee areas 4, 6 and 7. They are part of the extreme right, and most have connections to members of the Orange County School Board who support the privatization of our public schools. We need to flip the CUSD’s board back to sanity and decency this fall!

Rallies

We are taking a break from holding monthly rallies this August. However, we will resume our rallies in September to bring awareness of the importance of voting in the critical midterm elections coming up this fall.
